Ordered a new piston and sear for my 98k/VSR, not happy about that, it was slam firing after 6 shots with with only a 110% upgrade spring,
it now slam fires every other shot with the original spring. Drilled tapped and screwed new mounting points for the hop assembly so that the nozzle actually seats in the hop rubber. Fingers crossed that once I've fitted the piston and sear and repaired the wood work around the mag catch area all the problems will be sorted and I'll get to use it at Anzio, I live in hope lol.

...have been re-fettling my KA lower metal receiver for my Thompson to get it to fit better. The selector switches now turn with far greater ease! Since my house-move, I can't find my lovely 1928 drum-mag anywhere :(
I wanted to use it at Volturno...

Started playing with some paint and a brush on my FJ Helmet. Not sure weather to keep the pattern or do the whole helmet in the textured tan. Please be gentle with your comments :D only started out as a time killer and went to far just not sure what to do next.

Went to a professional WW2 photoshoot together with my (airsoft) friends in an old fortress in Belgium. It was amazing cool and with very good weather. Pictures will follow some time later.

Braved the DPM/ multispam hordes and played at a local open day. Great fun, the PPSh seems to not be feeding anymore :( , but the MP44 was on top form!

Sometimes the guys at my local mock my "archaic" Thompson - Until they're on the receiving end!
Also, on Saturday, one of the marshals commented on the fact that the guys with the scopes and holo sights, etc. tend not to use them, and aim down the side of the gun, whereas he noticed I actually use the iron sights on my Thompson.
